Re: I'm Confused

First, lay off the caps key - it's considered yelling. Now, tell us what you HAVE done so far to try and capture some business? How many companies have you signed up with? What kind of experience do you have?

Re: I'm Confused

Well if you read Korey's post, he said to sign up with almost 200 companies, and you've only contacted a few? Don't sit and wait too long, because nobody's going to call. They don't even know you're there.

Take a look at the button at the top of this page that says Signing Central, click on it and get going. Email, call, send letters, then do it all over again.

Good luck.

Re: I'm Confused

Could your friend refer some of her turndowns to you? You know, "I'm sorry, I'm booked for that time but I know a good notary who is available then."

But make sure you're a good notary who won't ruin her rep with poor work.

1.) How many companies have you signed up with?

2.) How much experience do you have in conducting loan closings?

------- ---- ---- ---- --- --- ---------- ------ ---- ---

You need to sign up with at least 175 -220 companies. You need to market market market!

Start by reading this board from beginning to end, you should be able to gain a lot of insight regarding this business.

Be patient, and good things will happen. You can't expect to be successful overnight. Take care, and good luck! Big Smile

P.S.: STOP TYPING IN ALL CAPS (UPPERCASE) IT'S REALLY ANNOYING.

You need too sign up with more than a 'few' companies. You may be an an area that is saturated with Signing Agents. Have you clicked on the "find a Notary" tab to see is your area is?

If you click on Signing Central and then click on Signing Service Listing you should see about 200 companies. Where are you seeing only 40?

Google, Google, Google. You will find oodles of signing services by using google. Get your thinking cap on and think of all the buzz words that could bring up leads to market to.

Janet Gonzalez,

Hello Janet!

There are other notary boards which list signing companies, in addition to this one.
Checkout Notarybeware.com (which will also give you a breakdown of the "no" and
"yes" companies).

Checkout the many notary directories for which to add your profile. Some are free, others are not. Some of these directories will also list the various signing companies.

Create a webpage. I created my website via www.tiptopwebsite.com.

You can also advertise on Verizon.net (free) or the Smartpages etc. . .

Also, research these companies before signing-up. Read the various boards to see the character of the company you may be working for.

In addition, telephone each company to see if they are willing to work with an inexperienced agent.

Googles is a lot easier to do a "notary signing agent" search ,than Yahoo or a similar search engine.

Please feel free to contact me via e-mail or telephone, (as I am new too).

Pam
