I don't get this!!!!
I did a signing in Jan. And it's now March 7 and still no payment. And yes it was for, who else, The Notary Biz. I've called Liz 3 times today, left her a voice mail on her cell and still no return call. When I talked to accounting yesterday, they said I had to talk to Liz before I could get payment. I don't get it. There were no mistakes and the loan has already gone thru. Why can't SS just pay the notaries for doing thier work and be done with it. Needless to s:y, I will NEVER accept a call from them again. What happend to thier motto: "We pay our notaries before we get paid." That sounds like a load of you know what if you ask me!
Sorry, had to vent! ggggrrrr

One of the few SS I worked for in 2005 and payment..
seem's to run 5-6 weeks from date of signing versus "within 30 days of signing", as they advertise. Another reason to use them only for "filler" work when you're slow and stick to your fee's when doing it.
I'd suggest emailing Liz and Andy. Also, fax her a past due invoice. If that doesn't work, contact the TC. All assuming that the closing went thru otherwise somebody is paying out of pocket. Let's hope it won't be you since you're the one who did the bulk of the work. Good Luck....

I talked to Travis in accounting and he said that Liz put in the notes that she needs to talk to me before sending payment. But I've called her several times and she won't take my calls. She keeps putting me off. It's really starting to bother me.

I'm sorry you're getting stiffed..you deserve better..she
obviously is avoiding you. I would fax her a invoice that says "last notice". It sounds like something fell through along the line..and if she didn't get paid then she might be passing the loss onto you. Real nice, huh. If she had an issue with you; you'd think she'd return your phone call.
Sounds more like she just doesn't want to pay. I would fax her and call the TC. If you find out the loan closed successfully, and the TC won't help you then call the borrower and nicely explain the situation. A call to the TC from the borrower might do the trick. What a generous reward for being a loyal SA to them..'scuse the sarcasm..couldn't resist

Please don't call the borrower! If we..
start doing things like this... or promoting things like this... we are going to end up the losers!
Please... PLEASE... don't call the borrower!

Gotta agree....Don't call the Bwr!!!
The borrower isn't responisble for your payment, you entered into contract with the SS/TC. The borrower has no reason to know anything about this.
