Jacksonville Florida Notaries
Can I share a website dedicated to Jacksonville Notaries Public & Signing agents? I suppose if I can't then this post will not show up. :-)
Anyway. http://www.JaxNotary.com is the place.
It's a site dedicated to local NP & SA so I don't think it is competition for Notary Rotary. And there is nothing for sale there (Supplies etc.). It's just another way to get your Jax Notary servies out there into the WWW. Thanks.

Never thought, nor implied, I was above the rules.
I really did just want to share. I am just trying to network the Jacksonville folks. If there is a way for the moderators of this webpage to delete this thread...please do it.
I like this site and I do not want to offend, insult or break any rules. I tried to delete this whole thing after your response. I could not find a way to do it.
BTW: check out this thread: Msg #105925, talk about advertising !?!?

Re: Never thought, nor implied, I was above the rules.
Sure - I get it, good idea to network...however, I have found in personal experience it gets all kinds of feedback and it ain't pretty.
If you are linked to your profile as you are, just refer people to your profile and that will keep it from running rampant throughout the forum. Otherwise, the forum becomes a forum full of people's websites and ads.
As far as that message - it is BAD advertisement at best.

I asked NR to delete this thread.
I did e-mail NR and asked them to delete this thread, or give me permission to share the website. We'll see what they do. Thanks and I'm sure we will share ideas & thoughts later.. I love this site. BTW; what state are you in?

You're site is very professional...and you're currently the only notary listed so that would be Harry's "call". But, if you add more signing agents then it's very possible NR will ask you not to advertise. Glad to hear from a fellow Floridian that know's his stuff......You might want to write NR and ask for permission aka NR Rules and Regulations. You can email me directly my going to my profile...if you want more info.

Re: thanks
Jax, word of warning, stay away from Anything flamac has to say, just do a search on her name and you'll see why. Good luck. Keep her out of your business.

Interesting warning: I found this note from FLMAC
"you should always consider the source. The safest rule of thumb is this:
If they insult other's than it's safe to assume the information they provide is tainted. Best bet is to make your own list of "bad poster's" and then ignore everything written by them. Don't even bother reading it because it will be a huge waist. That way, your valuable time here will be productive and pleasant.
I have two motto's: "Ignore the nonsense and keep smiling" and " If you act like them; you become them" Please don't assume they represent the majority. They are a very small group of folks but they do post regularly to be forwarned"

Oh for gods sake.
Dear Jax,
If you are so naive as to take inane mottos to heart then you are not intelligent enough to post here.
The community here is smart, very smart. As in intelligence and the ability to sift through nonsense words to get to the heart of the matter. You'll not enjoy your time here if you can't take off the politically correct glasses and see things for what they are.
Or, chose your rosy glasses and live in Disneyland with Frances MacDonald and thank each other to death all day long, I could care less.

Jax, be careful
Taking advice from FlaMac will result in a very short career. I have a motto as well, "stupid is as stupid does."

Re: Jax, be careful AL...
I'm sure glad I missed this chick and her drama. However, I'd love the down and dirty via email. I just don 't have the time to search all of the messages.
Anyone care to fill me in?

Yes, consider the source....do a search on her name and learn.
You can look around this forum and the feedback forum to get a feel for the ONE poster that is constantly corrected. We do represent the majority as can be proven in black and white. She claims she ignores everyone. This is why she continually posts misinformation and bad advice. We are not a very small group of folks, we are all notaries that know the notary laws and not afraid to correct everything she posts, for fear of a newbie following illegal advice and ending their career and facing criminal action. I'll leave it up to you to determine, if you know notary law, you'll learn real fast who's nuts and realize that she does not know notary law or the concept of what a signing agent can and cannot do. Her time here is not "productive" it's destructive and she's the only one who doesn't know it.
Good luck with your business and welcome to NotRot.

I tried to set up a Notary Network in Jacksonville. There was great interest and I got a lot of RSVP's but turn out was sad. I put a lot of time and effort into setting up meetings. I am now a Fulltime HUD inspector and part-time loan signing. I got a call last week for a signing in Orange Park. I referred to a Notary who lives in Orange Park. I also just call a call at 8:50 to do a signing at 9:30. I referred to another notary who bothered to show up at my all my meetings and we have become friends. I have an early morning signing and can not be up all night doing a late night signing. Networking is important and I tried to make it work. Mostly what happened was I got a ton of phone calls and emails wanting information and wanting to let them go on a signing with me. My phone rings several times an hour and when I am in an inspection I can not take any calls.
