Keeping Life in Perspective for Notaries Public

People working FT regular jobs frequently ask professional notary types what they do to make their days interesting when there are no appointments...slow times. In Texas, they see my job as boring - Professional Notary?? LOL, c'mon!

Other than marketing there are lots of things to do.

Well for example, the other day I went into town and went into a camera shop on University across from TAMU. I was only in there for about 5 minutes, when I came out there was a cop writing out a parking ticket.

I flashed him an "Angelina AZ" smile and went up to him and said, "Come on man, how about giving a notary a break?" He ignored me and continued writing the ticket. Something came over me and I called him a turd. He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having typical worn tires....looked just like your typical mobile notary worn tires--you know the type.

So I called him a s---head. He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing a third ticket.

This went on for about 20 minutes. I kept telling him "but I am a notary PUBLIC."

Then I started saying "WHY ARE YOU GIVING A NOTARY PUBLIC A TICKET...I ONLY MAKE $6 FOR A SEAL." The more I abused him, the more tickets he wrote. HE WROTE FIVE TICKETS.

Personally, I didn't care. LOL - MY car was down the street.

I try to have a little fun each day other than the notary forums.

It's important to keep my perspective.

Have a great day … BrendaTX…Terrorizing the Heart of Texas with a notary seal.

That was a joke. Here is the original - I just feel this little story has too much potential to restrict it to seniors. Smile

WHAT DO RETIRED PEOPLE DO ALL DAY?

Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their
days interesting.

Well for example, the other day I went into town and went into a shop.
I was only in there for about 5 minutes, when I came out there was
a cop writing out a parking ticket.

I went up to him and said, "Come on man, how about giving a senior
citizen a break?" He ignored me and continued writing the ticket.

I called him a Nazi turd. He glared at me and started writing another
ticket for having worn tires.

So I called him a s---head. He finished the second ticket and put it on
the windshield with the first. Then he started writing a third ticket.
This went on for about 20 minutes.

The more I abused him, the more tickets he wrote.

Personally, I didn't care. I came into town by bus.

I try to have a little fun each day now that I'm re tired.

It's important at my age.

Let's keep it accurate - it's off topic. Sorry.

Perhaps. To the 30-something notary [LIAR, LIAR], SNL is like Mother Goose and Hickory Dickory Doc.

The joke on the Sr. Citizens came from Nacogdoches, Texas.

Re: Brenda ... I dont know .... why is it .... New Orleans +

Yep, Ray - a mother does have a good sense of humor...speaking of mothers...my son just called me from New Orleans.

The Big Easy Lives! God bless the French Quarter, New Orleans, Louisiana and everyone from that state.

Seriously. My son has been going there with his dad and/or I since he was a baby.

When my son called...he told me he red beans and rice for lunch at my favorite - The Gumbo Shoppe, well...we both had a tear or two. We both felt great emotion over Louisiana's tragedies. (Esp. La., I know there were several places otherwise as well.)...but folks, the French Quarter lives on. She'll be there for my grandkids.

Go there on vacation. Everyone, go to the French Quarter. It's not even too crowded right now - St Patty's and all! I certainly hope to go sometime this year.

PS - my last trip there was with a group of seniors during Mardi Gras. I'm no senior yet but I went to see the Faberge' Eggs when they were there. Mother's group was going and I tagged along. Oh Lawsy did those seniors have a high old time.

OH believe me i know ...... My mom ...

she is in the RED HAT LADIES ... i have to constantly remind her " I aint comin to pitch your bail if you get in trouble now !!! " they have a blast.
Unfortunatly, i know I have booked a few loads of ice in there to those folks as well about 200 truckloads of roofing material. .... On a good note though.. I appears that they are trying to use materials that fit the genre of ora for that area. Tile and a special kind of shingle that was used in the 20s. So hopefully it will be new improved with a feel of the old.

Re: OH believe me i know ...... My mom ... Ray -

You are a sweetheart and a wealth of information. I really mean that. I hope to meet you and Theresa one of these days soon. I guess I could load my dogs and come on around Tuesday Week. How's your schedule look for that? One of my grandsons is in Alvord...that's exactly at the opposite corner of the DFW area from you, isn't it?
