Michigan Notaries Group

I saw a posting here about Michigan Notaries forming a group and meeting every so often. I'm very much interested in this and would like to participate. Please let me know if this is happening and the when and where of it all. I'd very much like to meet you and and hear some of your experiences and ideas. I am in Lansing, MI but to make it fair for all, I think we should switch it up a bit as to meeting places. Meeting in GR, Lansing, Detroit, K-Zoo, Jackson, Mt. Pleasant so that we can expand the group beyond the I-96 corridor. If we dare we could even have meetings in the northern part of the state to bring in the UP notaries. Are there any Northern LP or UP notaries interested? Light up the board and my email with your thoughts on this.

there is a group that meets and your in luck they meet up in your area. You have to search the boards to find them, just do a search for "michigan" and it should bring up something. I don't go to the meetings so I can't tell you the specifics.

I know there are some that still meet, but for the most part, the couple that we had were just talking shop. I still keep in contact with a few, but mostly are afraid their contacts will be stolen.

Welcome, by the way! You sure seem to be on the ball and full of positive energy - I wish you all the best success.

A handful of us met once, but it was just a 'let's get together and MEET each other' thing, and nothing came of it as far as forming any kind of 'group'. If there's any group such as you're describing in MI, I'm not aware of it. I've always thought it would be a great thing to have - in the interests towards a Nat'l group, it makes sense to me that grassroots is the place to start.

If it's still on, there's been a few postings about meeting on April 12th near Lansing. I think (and maybe I'm wrong) that it's a 'call to arms' so to speak, with an interest in meeting regularly, which would be a great way to birth a more formal gig. Again, if this IS an actual formal group ... then I'm out-of-the-loop on it.
