Mobile unit question

I am about to purchase an Aims 1000 watt pure sine power inverter ( $ 359.00 at invertersus.com) and the remote switch and I would like to know if I really need to buy their battery or any battery from Walmart can do the job?. The GPL-27T Lifeline Deep Cycle Battery is about $250.00. Do I really need to buy a battery and battery isolator with special features ?

I don't use a special battery. I have an isolator thingy installed above my car battery. When I had the car wired and the inverter mounted the guys just put the isolator in- it was included in the install price.

If you need a deep cycle battery you can shop at local boat stores.
