If you haven't done any signings for this company, and they call you, be sure to ask them about their fax-backs. You may want to increase your fee for their closings. I just did one and have to fax back almost half the package back by 8:00a.m. Eastern time!!! Got home at 1:00a.m. lastnight after back to back closings and received 4 phone calls and 6 emails from 3 different people wanting the fax backs or will dock $50!!!
This was a last minute assignment to go about 35 miles one way, peak hour. Didn't have time to read about their fax back before appointment nor did I have the energy at 1:00a.m. to read the 3 page faxback instructions. Yeah...partly my mistake. I've done hundreds of closings for the same lender (Countrywide). Never expected the additional work after closing for this escrow company, which by the way took an additional 20 mins or so to fax all those pages, then to split the package and then have to wait for green light to ship docs back. Ouch!
When you're on the run, and you get a call....do you really have the time to discuss the whole process with the scheduler? I don't, not always anyways.
