NNA Conference in DC

Just a quick hello to my fellow comrades out there. Is anyone planning on attending the conference in DC at the end of May? This will be my second conference. I attended the one in Orlando back in 2003 and found it pretty informative and helpful. I'm really interested in the e-Notarization technology and am hopeful that we may find a way to really make ourselves stand out as true professionals. I've been catching up on some of the posts and I too feel your pain. $50 notaries, NRE cut back to $90 as well, more dimwits getting into the business, etc. It amazes me to think that a company would rather save $25 or so only to have an incompetent closer, a no show closer, a closer missing sigs, not stamping, and so on than someone who knows their stuff and knows how to do their job flawlessly?!?!?

NNA = Source of most of what you mentioned....

Their NSA website shows a fee schedule starting at $50 per closing.
They are the major reason why so many inexperienced NSA's are flooding the indusry.
And they have a bad reputation for giving NSA's incorrect information on loan paperwork.

Why again would you attend their Amway meeting? I mean conference?

Shane, from what I hear it is not as productive as an Amway meeting. I think it would be fun to hook up with all you guys but last year I looked at the price and thought of a gillion ways I could better spend the time and money. I know Bob likely does a good job with his part of the program, but what about the rest of the time. What is there besides more hype ont he e-not. )thing? I guess they are going to dust off the old Enjoa's kits they have had around for three or more years and put them on the bluelight special. (I am sure they are great for keeping a journal...but at $400+ I felt that was high...this was the price when I last looked at it.)

Maybe they can get PA (et al) to use their technology...I think that would be super for the notaries who have it sitting around.

Wondering where in NC you are located. Would like to network with you and other NSA's.
