Notary Assignment
Hello!! I had a question I hope you all might help me with. I have a friend who wants me to drive 75 miles and notarize 5 documents. The notarization is for an elderly man and I was wondering how much you would charge for this?? I told my friend that I would NOT charge for the notary itself, but would charge for the time and travel. How much would YOU charge? THanks for the feedback!!

Figure your costs at $.50/mile --- $75 cost for travel. 3 hrs of time. Whats that worth to you? $90 ???
Fee is $165.
Or, if this is influenced by friendship and you couldn't charge that much, use "find a notary" button and find someone closer. Or, if he can get out of the house, have him try a local UPS, mail box etc, or FEDEX who might have a notary and will do for what can be legally charged. Also, his bank.

If it is a "friend" I'd do it pro bono....Or, I'd tell them to go to the nearest Kinkos, UPS store, bank, real estate office, etc. to get it done. If for some reason they want ONLY you to notarize the documents? I'd charge them (friend?) $50 gas money.
