Notary Ratings

I understand how the rating system for the different companies work, would it be absurd to have a second rating system for the companies to rate the notaries?

Just wondering what your thought where, that way before calling us the lenders would know if we can live up to what we claim or not?

Ratings for notaries? First be prepared to get sued. Did you pay the notary? Are you just angry because they will NOT work for peanuts? Did you give the notary all the information they need to do their job? Or do you just have "issues" in general and somewhat of a "bad" attitude when dealing with notaries in general?

I think you can see where I'm going with this. There are a lot variables to consider before you make any statements regarding a notary and they better be in Black and White. A mature, clear thinking adult would do best to handle "performance" issues with that person one-on-one and in a private forum.

Issues that notaries have with ss and others' tend to be related to being paid in a timely manner. Incomplete or no information so they can do their job correctly. The list just goes on from there. If notaries post anything to warn other notaries regarding non-payment "That's a Good Thing" and the notary that goe's unpaid certainly has the proof to back-up their statements.

Remember we are independent contractors-we very much depend on each other.

Not to mention that some of these people working for SS, many have no idea what is correct and legal when I call for clarification. I certainly don't wan't an uneducated and untrained SS employee rating me on issues when they truly don't even understand the who's, how's and why's of the field and the legal ramifications notaries face.
