OT - Strange day in Southern Arizona.
Yesterday I started my day in a border town about 80 minutes away from me. I had three assignments... then I had to rush over the mountains... print docs and get into the city for Fedex and another assignment.
The wind was really bad all morning but in the afternoon it picked up so much that the sky was black and there were trash cans (the great big ones) rolling all over the place. Shopping carts from the Duty Free store were strewn all over the roads and stuff was flying everywhere. The car in front of me swerved to dodge something and his hubcap flew off and crashed into my windshield... cracking it and sticking to my window. I pulled over and rolled down my window to lean out and get the hubcap off and a humongous tumbleweed flew into my car. I didn't see it coming and was leaning wayyy out of my window and it stuck tight into my window... pinning me... and definitely poking the crap out of me. I pulled the tumbleweed out and got all scratched up... my clothes were ripped and my hair.. from being in the wind was sticking STRAIGHT up in all directions. I get back into my seat and roll my window up and am sitting there in shock when I see a small tornado starting. (I'm a California girl so I'm thinking... AHHHHH... it's a twister.) I put my car in drive and head on up the mountain.
Ahead of me on the mountain pass... a huge tanker truck with a gazillion gallons of propane swerves to avoid a car and goes off the road... the propane tank disconnects and slides down the mountain. The road was then closed and the area evacuated because of the danger. I gave my statement and headed back down to take an alternate route. A few hours later I get home and change my clothes... fix my hair.. print docs and head into the city for my last signing... I make it into town and there are people milling about in the street because of all things... on a hot windy day... it is snowing!
I'm staying home today!

WOW!!!
What a story! I want to write a book with all the excerpts of notaries all over the nation and their experiences...it would be a best seller! While I was reading that, I kept seeing Mighty Mouse 'Here I come to save the DAY!!!'

That isn't Mighty Mouse--it's(and you won't get it unless you have looked at his site) Korey H.!
I'd say she won the prize for the day!

I saw that tanker on the news, that was near Bisbee wasn't it? The only thing you were missing was a dust storm, those are scary! Got to love the desert weather.....more rain please. Kathi

Yep Bisbee.
A big black dust storm was what I was in when I got plowed by the tumbleweed... and incidentally... I could have used mighty mouse to get me out of there!

I saw the tanker on the news last night, Angelina; thank goodness you missed getting caught up in that! The weather in Tucson was weird too; it snowed in the middle of town, yet did almost nothing on the mountains. Gotta love it....or not!
