OT: being out of touch in Notary Rotary

I really hate it (and I mean really) when I lose a day here. I come forward this evening to Charm's post, thanking every one for support - now THAT makes me pay attention. Charm is a fixture here, and so familiar...what was it that she needed support for? Has someone been picking on Charm? Well...I want to know about that, thank-you-very-much, and I want to know about it right now!

I go back two or three pages in threaded mode. Hm, nothing so bad that I can see, just the normal stuff, no/slo pays, TC complaints, regular stuff. Then, I switch to Linear...now, we're cooking with gas.

You see, "Linear" is the hot topic. Linear is the mood of the board. If there is a fight or disagreement going on, it is Linear where you find it happenin'. Linear is where the life of Notary Rotary happens and if you miss it, don't make the mistake of thinking you can check in late. The dance has begun and the partners have been picked.

If you're behind the power curve in linear, you're out of touch. Dont' bother posting because you appear like Johnny Come Lately, barging in on a conversation long since past. Your terrible witty and scintillating posts, normally given great consideration while in "hot topic" mode (aka Linear) are just blown off. They are not important. You are the Wallflower in the Ballroom of Notary Rotary. If you're not on time, take your place against the Wall...you Flowers.

Yes, I hate it when I miss something here. My dance card is empty. My keyboard isn't my friend. I don't have a date for the ball. I was late, and all the good ones are taken.

And I don't know who the hell Elektra is and I'm supposed to be her. It's sad. I'm taking my glass slippers and going home to the step-mother. Tomorrow is another day.

Do a google search for Elektra. She's tough, she's gorgeous, and she could be my bodyguard any day.

I live in linear. Did you ever find what you were looking for about Charm?

That is soooo funny, I give up when I miss days or a week . Now I know that linear is the way to catch up. Thanks TG for the tip.

Geez Sue - Try missing two weeks as I have. I'm really lost.

On a side note: Moving and working DO NOT mix well unless you have your Wonder Woman underoos on. I'll never move while continuing to work again.

My Goodness, I've missed a lot.

I'm still waiting for another "As the Worm Turns" episode...

I thought it was rather clever. I wish I knew who wrote it!! See Msg #97889 .
