Opinions about what you would consider related industries

Background first: My prior experience includes 11 years in the insurance industry. Six years handling severe injury claims and lawsuits, including homeowner liability claims, catastrophic claims, consulting and expert witness testimony, etc. Also, for five years I owned an agency. During that time I worked with several real estate agents and mortgage companies to provide insurance for their clients and businesses (including sitting in on many signings).

My question: If my signing agent profile stated that I have 11 years of related experience in the industry, would you consider that to be a legitimate claim, or would that be too much of a leap? I don't want to discount a strong selling point, but certainly wouldn't want to be misleading either. And to a certain someone who has a propensity for lies and exaggerations, your opinion on this doesn't count.

Signings => Title company & Escrow related work => Title insurance => Insurance claims

I would not Title Insurance and Insurance are two different things.
Real Estate Industry is considered. Mortgage, Real Estate, and Title. Other wise I think you might be misleading your clients.

I would not consider your industry related but your experience is as it includes going through paperwork with people and also contracts, that has alot to do with what we do.
