Orphan ACK

I've always left these blank when I come across one, but I wonder if I should remove it from the package or return it blank. I got one last night and the only info on it is the names of the borrowers.

Now I know I can't notarize this without an underlying document with sigs, but the way it's worded makes me think it's specifically designed to cover someones rear. It does not specifically appear in the VA handbook.
So, do I return it blank, or toss it?

Any thoughts?

The key phrase, "and who executed the foregoing intrument [sic] and acknowledged that they executed the same" indicates that this acknowledgment must be attached to something. If there is nothing to attach it to, then just pitch it, or return it unused. Some companies will include one or two (or more) loose acknowledgments "just in case". In case of what, I'm not sure, as as any proficient NSA should have state compliant loose acknowledgments and jurats with them if they are needed to be used.

I think they are "just-in-case" docs. I always send them back blank.
