Rejected Acknowledgement........

from the lender??? I use an embosser. Working on getting an inker Im comfortable with. If there isnt enough room for my embosser, I use a loose certificate. Ive never had any problems, except for not using the correct size of paper for it and that was rejected by a county recorder not a lender. I fixed that problem and now find out a loan I did is being rejected by the lender because they wanted the acknowledgement page to be embossed. If I would of embossed that page it would of been over other wording and probably would of been rejected by the county. I guess Im a little confused on what I was supposed to do in this situation. Not only that, but shouldnt they specify they dont want loose certificates if thats the case. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Has anyone else experienced this??

Why not use a stamp instead of the embosser when the situation arises such as this. Stamps certainly don't take up as much room and most lenders and title companies prefer them, if there's an option, since the copy well.

Beat me to the punch PAW...
I have been told by a few lenders that they'll reject if you use an Embosser... just seems that an ink stamp is the most widely accepted for this field.

In Alabama, we must use only an embosser. Never had a rejection because it's the law. Wish I could use a stamp!

I will get an inker that I like and start using that and that will resolve this problem. Question to Charm. I was told that county recorders prefer ink because everything is being copied now and put online for public record. Does Alabama not do this? Or do they pencil the embosser at the county recorders office? Not that it pertains to me, but just curious. I know.......It killed the cat. And I have been dead countless times.Smile Thanx everyone for the input. Have a GREAT day!!

Lisa, I got a self inking stamp at Office Max. The only problem I had with it was the last time I refilled it. I was in a hurry and ended up with a mess!
