Reprint FedEx Label?

How important is it to have the correct "Deliver by:" date on FedEx labels? If you intended to drop the package before the dropoff time but were delayed at the signing, do you print a new label before shipping? What about if the closing is postponed a day or two and you've already got the envelope ready to go? Would crossing off the incorrect date and writing the new one on it be OK?

Yes, I want everything to be done professionally, but some things don't seem to be worth the extra time..... unless this kicks the package out at FedEx and causes delivery problems.

Opinions?

I wouldn't reprint. The ones I receive in o/n docs are generally incorrect. Send it!

I've never reprinted. Always use the label that comes with o/n docs, too.

I operate a FEDEX authorized ship center (where you drop off packages) and the FEDEX driver creates a new barcode label for any shipments that require updating. Of course I am also a signing agent.
