We’re sorry to learn of your being inundated with unwanted solicitations. I understand how frustrating this can be. Let me assure you that it is not the result of any action by the National Notary Association. The NNA does not sell member information to any persons or organizations. We do, however, share member information only when fulfilling or offering NNA membership benefits provided by third parties (for example, our automatic identity theft insurance coverage, which is provided by AIG).

The NNA works hard to prevent the misuse of our members’ SigningAgent.com directory listings for marketing purposes (other than to market members’ Notary Signing Agent services). Such practice violates the terms of use for SigningAgent.com, and sending solicitations via e-mail without prior consent of the recipient is a violation of law. We would appreciate your forwarding to us any information you have that would help the NNA identify and deter these unscrupulous individuals and organizations.

They need to clarify what happen's to your name if you...

do not renew. Once your membership run's out; you are no longer a member. Her response refers to members only. Personally, I stay with the NNA for the E&O insurance and the travel discounts. The savings easily pay's for the membership fee.

I did not renew my membership and I still purchased E & O, same price for member or non-member. Even after I purchased my E&O I still got a notice today to renew my E&O. They keep sending renewal notices all year long, every month I got a renewal notice. I no longer need to be "Certified" and I see no benefit of membership so I did not renew. I had 3 section memberships, NSA, ENotarization and Regular.
My membership was up in January. I have gone to a convention hoping to learn mor about E-Nortarization, hoping venders would be there to signup. Nothing.

I agree. They are very disappointing. PA is already online with enotarization and the rest of the state's are bound to follow. It's one of the reason's I'm hoping a non-profit association form's soon..one that would represent us much better and provide the information we need.

They can say they don't put you on a mailing list but that still doesn't explain why you get the junk mail. The amount of postage they waist is amazing. I would write them a letter and tell them to take you off all mailing list's. Oddly, as a member, I don't get near the mail which is why I think when you non-renewed it thru you into a different list...good luck with it

HARRY, can you please do something about the girl from...

Alabama. The insults and profanity are getting worse to all of us. I received over 50 emails last weekend from basic and premier member's who have truly had enough of her behavior. Your NR Rules and Regulations are in place so please enforce them. These folks are absolutely skeptical and some even afraid to post a response, ask a simple question or participate in any fashion. Please, take care of it as her behavior makes all of us look unprofessional, foul-mouthed and mean-spirited. Gossip, profanity, and insults have no place here.

And, yes, I'm going to email him and post this on the feedback forum Maybe he will do something. We can only hope and pray!

Girl, if our historys were posted side by side, you'd be gone, laughed off! ....Secondly, I have always been helpful and given 'sound' advice when asked! I don't make up crap and post it for attention as you do. I also do not intimadate anyone asking for help, so that proves your full of it. Your 50 e-mails? Profanity? Because I said ass once? LOL....right, I can think of two other morons who were run off by the entire group of seasoned notaries for being negative and not offering a thing to this forum...you know what they say...birds of a feather...

I also posted this to your asking Harry to do something about me on the feedback forum...in case you haven't seen it....

You see, I can't stand an opportunist know nothing giving advice to you that is blatantly wrong and in some cases purely illegal. Following her advice will end your career quickly and in some cases cause you great legal hassles.
It just plain ticks me off when it's done repeatedly and excessively by someone that cannot back up what she says. She's been asked over and over for her sources and those requests have ALWAYS gone ignored..She's been asked over and over again by the majority of the forum to stop it.
I have always tried to maintain my dignity and be helpful to those who seek it. So, with this knowledge, I find that 50 e-mails is a gross exaggeration, which is not uncommon in her many useless posts. Please e-mail me and I will talk about anything you wish to discuss, whether it be about notary law, the job, the ups&downs or just to say hello and try to get to the bottom of any problems anyone may have with me and my posts. Thanks in advance.
