SOX CALL
I finally, after all of these months, got the privilege of receiving an offer to do a signing with SOX. When I mentioned about how often this company is trashed on notary rotary, the nice fellow mentioned that things have changed. According to him,SOX fired all of their financial people and now they are paying promptly. Well, I wasn't going to go for that...but just out of curiousity, I asked how much they were willing to pay. When the fellow said $50 and borrower has docs, I said "sorry but I don't do refinance packages for that".

So the borrower has docs and you still refused? How far was the borrowers house, How long have you been doing this? I tell you what, if the borrower wasn't 100 miles away I sure wouldn't turn down $50 for an hours work

Brian, you'll make double if you market yourself to...
the right companies. If you take all of you're expenses into account..you'll find you're loosing money at that fee. But, we all have the right to work the way we want..just some unsolicited advice

I know but was worth a shot. The $50 signing is on its way..
out if the lender's jump on the enotarization train. Think the NNA will give the newbies a refund once they find out they need to purchase thousand's of dollars worth of equipment?
