Don't have any outstandings with them, but I am on your side brother! Go for it. I am sure tired of having to beg for our money. Aren't you?

Mung.......

They owe me for 1 job too. It's 6 weeks old now, I have unfortunatly come to expect that from small companies like this. Have you tried calling the title company? The thing that is irritating is that they ignore emails and faxes requesting a status on payment. Have you had any contact with them?

Definitely call the TC..you'll probably have a check by...

next Friday. It has worked for me very well and the folks at the TC are always nice. They also appreciate it when a SA let's them know that they are not being paid as agreed.

Got paid 75% almost 3 months later.

I did a signing for them 11/22. I e-mailed her several times and she finally responded stating a check would be in the mail. Several e-mails to her later I finally receive 75% payment on 2/13. I e-mail her regarding the partial payment and she seemd shocked that she "only" sent in part of it. She states she would mail out the remainder immediately - that was on 2/14. I have not heard from her ( she has not responded to my e-mails) nor have I received payment since. I will call the title company on Monday right before I go to the court. Thank you for the advice. I'll let you know what happens.

Re: Got paid 75% almost 3 months later.

I agreed to do a job for them on 11/27. A person named Christine, who called, said they used to be called "Angels on the Run", if that helps explain anything. Like you I wasn't sure about this one, but took it on anyway. The borrower did me a favor and refused over the phone after I had printed the docs. As you might suspect, I am still waiting for the doc fee, after several emails, faxes and phone messages.

Check out the e-mails I received from Christine.

I received this on 3/14/06:

Just to also let you know, this file actually cancelled. But you don't care about that either, you just wanted money.

I got nothing from this file, but still had to pay you and for $25.00 I can't believe you are that pissed to the point that you wanted to sue me for it.

Then this a few minutes later:

$25.00 on Fri 03/10.

Sorry it took so long. But you don't really care for an apology, do you need anything else from me?

To which I responded:

Christine.

I'm not even going to dignify that crap with an answer. You know as well as I do how this business works. If you performed a service you would expect to be paid, regardless of what happens with a third party. I'm sorry that you didn't get paid - I didn't know the file didn't close. If you had contacted me in a timely manner and informed me of the situation I would have worked with you. I have done it for other people before. You chose to play games instead and this is what came of it.

It is unfortunate that this relationship turned sour. I pride myself on being an easy-going person that works well with others. I do my job well at a very reasonable price. Even you have to admit that $100 for a 1st and a 2nd is a good deal AND I still went back to the borrower's home the next day to have the spouse sign a RTC - which I didn't have to do, for FREE.

All being said and done, I have no ill feelings. Live and learn. Have a good day.

Rafael
