What a sad day in this neighborhood
I made a friendly post about the birthday list Beth has thrown in our faces and now I'm the bad guy? I have one so called professional even telling me to go beat my dog. And quite frankly, I don't see what is all of the hoopla. Just because one person doesn't like something you act like a bunch of complainers. I guess that is just the difference in who's liked and who's not. Well I got news for you, you will always have people you don't like involved in your life and work. So why don't you just accept and move on. I suggest some of you go back and read your posts. They was not good sweetie. Let's be real here, you all come across like a bunch of crying babies. As for some of you, I would have never guessed you could even be this way. Charm, I am sorry but I don't live in a 60 year old trailer. It's a house with no wheels. Beth, I would venture to say that you just think you are so great. Well, I'm dissappointed in you Honey. Never mind about the birthday list. I don't want to be on it no ways. And then there is the rest of you. Just lemmings, lemmings, lemmings. I am done with this group. Some professional organization this turned out to be. I'm removing this from my resume.

No I picture a swamp, with the scent of sewage in the air. When you're not beating your dogs or eating live fish, I can see you cackling at your monitor trying to hex Charm and others.
As you’ve rudely said to me in another post: “can’t you see you’re not wanted/welcome here?”

That's a good idea, Judy. You have a free listing so it..
won't cost you anything. I would certainly be interested in viewing your profile but you have chosen not to link it to your name. I think you're postings are mean and unnecessary. I was not "sticking up" for you in any way. I did not include my birthdate for identity theft reasons and if you had read all the post's you prompted..you would know that. Please move on and that goes for many of you who decline linking a profile and chat for free. JMHO, of course.

??? What does one have to do with the other? I'm a premier member on this site, yet I choose not to link to my profile, as do many others.

Nothing against Notary Rotary, but why would you put this site on a resume?

If you don't link your profile we have no way of....
knowing who you are. Isn't that the same as posting anonymously? And my personal opinion is that if you're visiting somewhere for free, where there are paying members, you should be on your best behavior. Kind of like going to the country club as a guest. I guess it depends on what kind of manners you have.

Re: If you don't link your profile we have no way of....
No it's not. I've had this argument with better than you. I'll tell you the same as I told him. You pay for your choice to link your profile the same way I pay to not link mine. YOU were the one spewing about identity theft because of a silly birthday list and now you say it's okay for all of your personal info to be linked by anyone on this board? Frankly, there have been a few kooks on this board lately. I also know of people receiving phone calls from posters because they disagreed on a subject. Do I need that? No more than I need you telling me I need to link or be anonymous.

Isn't that the most bizarre thing? Like somehow this message board is magically exempt from the rest of the places where information is stolen on the internet. Anybody who is that concerned about identity theft is a fool to put a link to their profile on here.

And on Monday you weren't posting with a link, and only began doing so yesterday, so what gives now?

It's just another stellar example of the hypocrisy that shines so brightly on this board.

I'm supposed to take this suggestion about linking my profile from someone who thinks we should call the borrower when we have trouble getting paid?

Because someone pointed it out to me as I'm doing..
now. Even though I paid over $100 for my annual membership; I had not taken time to learn the tricks of this website. So I spent an hour learning how to do things and one of them was linking my profile. I can understand someone not linking if they are afraid of others contacting them personally. That's probably a very good reason to never insult or slur others.

Re: Because someone pointed it out to me as I'm doing..
So I would love for you to explain why you think posting your birthdate on here without even the year can lead to identity theft, but you have no qualms about posting your full name, address and phone number. It really makes absolutely no sense to me, care to enlighten us?
|
Reply by FlaMac on 3/8/06 5:50pm Msg #103391
Many folks posted their FULL birthdate including the year...
and my post was simply another opinion to be considered before giving the information. And, yes, I have been doing alot of reading lately about identity theft, the new fraud act, the revised Patriot Act and Title 18. My NR profile does not show my birthdate or my home address. My fax number is not a dedicated line and is unlisted. It does not show a home phone number.
Could you imagine your doorbell ringing, you go to answer it, and standing before you is a visitor from abroad wanting you to notarize his immigration papers? Or a young couple who says " Can you marry us tonight?" Major Not, but that's just me. Everyone has the right to run thier/their/there/they're biz the way they want. I'm also a bad speller They say it's a sign of higher IQ just like being a lefty.

just what do you think someone could gain from the knowledge that I was born on 5/21? Notice no year, no name, just 5/21 and a forum alias.

Why on earth would you have notaryrotary on your resume?
Sweetie darling, if you want people to treat you in a professional manner, it would really help if you didn't act like a frigid raging beyotch when you post on here. Otherwise you're just getting back what you're putting out there and it sure as heck ain't professionalism, toots.

Really Judy, you're amazing
You've been nasty to everyone since the day you crawled up from the swamp, SWEETIE. Now, after 100 mean-spirited posts in a row, you're hurt because no one wants to wish you happy birthday? You've insulted this entire group since day one, now you want to be on a cliquey little list with a bunch of lemmings? Please spare us all the victim routine, DARLING. You reap what you sow, HONEY.
