Why we have bad reputations
I was called last night to do an "emergency"closing. The loan had orginally closed a week ago, but the notary that closed it, made some errors. Even though we are not a journal state, she didn't have one for the borrower to sign. She called the borrower at the 7:30pm.. that was when she was to be there. She asked the borrowers if they could sign the next day. They said NO. She had them meet her in HER city. Over 1/2 drive for the borrower. The hubby forgot his drivers license.. she let him sign anyway. She let the spouse sign her name incorrectly. She did not call the title co & let them know it was completed. She had her husband call the borrower TWO days later to get his drivers license #. She dropped the docs TWO days late. And this how we get a bad reputation. Even though we are traveling to a borrowers home, professionalism should be adhered to at ALL times. We are our own business and should treat the borrowers, s/s's, title co's., etc with the professionalism WE ourselves like to be shown. If you don't know what you're doing, then don't do it until you do. P.S. I made good money on this one!
