Work Load Question
I am only completing one signing per day, until I am sure that I understand the process. So far none of my loans have come back and I have received my payments on time.
Question: When you first began loan signings how many did you try to schedule each day? Do you think a 30 or 60 day training period is enough time to learn before you start taking on more assingments? I want to do the job right, not fast.

My question is even after you get some 4 months or so experience and register with companies and such, how do you go about scheduling signings. Do you call companies themselves? Is joining the NNA worth the exposure to TC and SS companies or is it better to hit up the TC and SS themselves and say screw the NNA. I havent heard much positive about the NNA but with my mom turning down calls being a member of the NNA maybe I should join for a year. Any advice or ideas?

Jahari - In Texas, after two weeks of signing up with signing services I got my first appointment and things rolled very well after that. You will be called for assignments...I think one or two places has a place you can check for assignments...they don't do that much in Tx however.
In Texas, things have slowed down considerably. I do not know how hard it would be to start at this time...probably harder than I had it.
I am not a member of the NNA but would think that it might help you get started.
IMHO - don't solicit lenders and title co's until you have solid experience.
If I had a mom in the biz who was turning down assignments...well...she wouldn't be. I'd get all I could from her.

You have to determine what works best for you. I started with one (1) a day, and now I am comfortable doing four (4) a day. Various factors will also effect your ability to increase your workload ( type of loan, travel distance & time, edoc's, overnight, etc. etc. etc.). I would suggest continue to study and become more knowledgable and comfortable with the loan signing process and variables. I strongly suggest obtaining a copy of "Signing Agent Training Guide".
Good Luck!!

What's Great: It's NOT state-specific
So anyone around the USA that is a loan signer can benefit from its' many pearls of wisdom. A great addition to anyone's library (I'm still adding to mine!) Good luck!
