problem with printer

I got a new Dell printer around Christmas, so disconnected my samsung ML 1650D8. Anyways my question is my husband wanted to use the Samsung printer on a old computer that we have , lastnite he hooked it up and when he tries to print it, makes a huge squealing noise and the paper then gets stuck and has a patch of just ink on it. He tried this several times and it still squeals, he cleaned the printer and we even changed toners, nothing was wrong with the printer before. There is no paper stuck in the printer that we can see anyways. Any ideas would be very helpful. Thanks .........Smile

If you have the original software that came with the old printer you might re-load it in the computer you're using it with.

We will try that. Would that be causing the loud squealing noise though? Thank you

I have no idea unless the printer is confused and is making irradic movements causeing it to squeel...My grandson bounced a ball in the house, it struck the globe of a lamp sitting over the printer, glass went all in the printer...I thought the printer was destroyed because I kept picking little pieces of glass out of it! I finally turned it upside down, shook it, blew it out with canned air, and it works fine now! You might have something in yours as I did mine!

We will have to try that too. The old computer is actually the one that we used with that printer. Thanks for ideas.
