if notarizing a document and there are more than one signature, do I use a new line in my journal for each signature for the same documents? i just got my commission and I feel so stupid but I just cant remember..

No you don't have to use a new line in your journal if the person before you signs more then one document. Write out each document you notarized for the person in the journal. If you don't have NotRot journal, then I highly suggest you purchase one. It is one of the best journals available.... the best actally.
Obviously if you have more then one signer, then yes, you would have each signer sign your journal.

More than one signer = more then one line
One individual singer = one line
By "one line" I am assuming you are talking about journal entry.

If I have several document entries taking up several lines, I draw a diagonal line through the signature block area and have them sign one time along the diagonal line. If more than one BO (husband/wife), I'd have two diagonal lines (one below the other) and two signatures (one on each diagonal line).
