Do you live in the Bakersfield area of CA? This link below shows one recently (along with 100+ other smaller ones) How do you guys deal with all the shaking in CA? http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/recenteqsus/

most of the time we don't even feel them, unless they are atleast 6.0

I am a native and have only felt 3 in my lifetime, its not
at all what people think, unless you happen to be in the area of one of the big ones and suffer a lot of devistation. It would take a whole lot more than earthquakes for me to ever think of leaving the Golden State.

There was an earthquake? I'm in Bakersfield. I must have missed it!! LOL If they aren't over a 4 then you usually don't feel them.

HAHA Just saw it on the news and thought of srnotary. Not a big one that's for sure. Not like the Northridge quake. All kinds of stuff fell off the shelves and walls.

Re: Wow, You Guys Have Been Lucky So Far...
I am a native, so I have gone through many earthquakes. The one in 1994 was by far the worst! We sustained over $80,000 in damages to our home. I will never forget the sounds that morning! It was extremely scary and something I do not wish to repeat in my lifetime. Odds are though, that it will happen again.

Hopefully no quakes the weekend of March 18th. Hubby and I will be in La Jolla for R&R.

Colleen Ihave lived here all my life. Born and raised here. I remeber that quake. It was nerve racking and horrible to say the least. It has been a long time since that one. I remember thinking a car had ran into our house. Should have seen me Big and pregnant trying to jump out of my water bed. If it hadn't been so scary it would have made a good video for Americas Funniest.

Re: srnotary did ya feel the e-quake? - why it shook
The earth shook in shock - the LO and the tile company got everything right and explained it all to the borrower and there were no surprises.
