American Idol...Spoiler alert

I am going to miss Elliot. I really liked him! My hubby says he will buy me his first album. Next week should be great with Kat and Taylor going up against each other.

Elliot's gone? We here on the West Coast are still waiting....Kat has the best voice, yeah she's young but she should win it!!

We missed it since I was so into LOST and Amazing Race. At least it was not Taylor. I forgot to vote last night...so I have to make sure I do next week. -dee

Re: American Idol...Spoiler alert Thanks, I

fell asleep so I did not get to see the results. Made my daughter go to bed and I was worried I wouldn't be able to tell her who got voted out. I won't miss Elliot too much. Kat IMO is the clear front runner.

Re: American Idol...Spoiler alert Thanks, I

I never cared for Elliot. I think Taylor will win only because he has a huge fan base, but as far singing, Kathryn has a better voice for an American Idol winner. I have always been a Taylor fan and I do like his soul patrol voice.

Yes Celeste, I'd have to agree with you, however

I have to look at it as who's record would I buy. I dn't know if I would buy his.

I guess I'm in the minority. I'll miss Elliott for sure. His soft, mild sensitivity was a refreshing offset to the quirky/bubbly bunch. Don't get me wrong if you're going for live entertainment Taylors 'seizure-like' moves are intriguing and Kathryn's fresh beauty are not to be denied. But since I'm a fool for a man who loves his momma - Elliott was my choice. But America has voted, who am I?

I was also sad to see Elliott go.....

IMHO I think that Elliott and Kathryn should have been the top 2 with Kathryn ultimately winning. Taylor has a great voice but he aggravates me with his antics. Its like a comedy/music/breakdance show all rolled into one with Taylor. He has a good voice but for me, his actions overshadow it.

On another note...Kathryn's rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow was absolutely breathtaking! Stil....All in all..I voted for Elliott to stay.

Her rendition nearly brought me to tears. It reminded me of when Fantasia sang Summertime from Porgy and Bess. Truly moving.

I felt like I went back in time when I was listening to her.....I guess thats the mark of a true singer..when their singing can help you envision yourself somewhere other than on your couch, in your pjs, with dirty dishes in the sink and kids sneaking in and out of their beds...LOL

If only for a moment...AHHHHHHH...

When a performer can take you "somewhere else" that is a sign of great talent.

The percentages were so close! It could have been any of them.

So sad to see Elliot go. Especially since he's from my neck of the woods. Used to go to that pharmacy he used to work at a long time ago(although he wasn't there at the time). It wase CRAZY here when he came home.

I was hoping Chris and Elliot would be the bottom 2. Now I guess I won't be watching to see who wins since Tayor or Katherine were not my favorites at all. After Paris went, I was hoping those 2 would be next!
