Another deep thought - rural fedex vs edocs

One hundred times I have told one certain company with initials TS that sending docs to this area via overnight --whether rural or city-- does not guarantee their arrival by 9 am.

It never fails...they have to send them via edocs if the appointment is before noon.

So then, the cost is FEDEX plus the edoc fee and stresses the schedule.

I hate them today.

I am so with you there. All the companies figure that since I'm not far from Raleigh, Chapel Hill & Durham, that I'm not rural. I'm at the farthest corner of civilization in one of the more crowded counties. Not to many neighbors, lots of farmland & horses. I keep telling the companies, that for overnight docs, I need the docs the day before. Never happens, had a closing at 4pm last week, UPS got me the docs at 7pm. They said a residence isn't guranteed until 7pm, even with overnght express, and 1st morning gets here at about 11am. Fed Ex is better, they get me everything between 11am and noon.

I never, never, never...receive overnight docs until after 3pm. So I have gotten into the habit of giving this information to anyone who sends o/n docs. A good deal of the time they change it to e-docs to get them here on time.

Same problem here, except I am NOT in a crowded county. I got a UPS O/N
at 12:30 the other day, Fed Ex O/N get here about 4:30.

It is utterly impossible to get that across to a lot of them Brenda. It is also impossible to get across to them that In my area, FedEx UPS & DHL WILL NOT deliver or pick up on Saturdays and only guarantee delivery M-F by 4:30 p.m. The closest drop box's for the 3 is 16 miles and to drop them off at one of the centers is 30 miles, all 1-way. Then they go complaining because I charge for faxbacks.
