Anybody here these RUMORS????

I must emphasize RUMOR. A loan officer told me yesterday that they had closed shop and sold all loans. Then my sister spoke to someone who deals with them frequently and she said they were merging with Wachovia,(sp),. Have checked the financial pages, but seem to find nothing in reagards to either RUMOR. Anyone have any information?

Wachovia announced on Monday that it will buy Golden West Financial Corp., which operates most of its branches under the World Savings brand. This from the Chicago Tribune biz section on Tues., May 9.

Then I hope they do something to streamline their paper work. I hate World Savings. Too much, too picky, too long. I won't miss them.

Meanie, and proud of it NaNa

Dang, why can't they put their endorsement requests where it's easy to see? It's tiring to read through pages and pages of lender instructions.

I HATE that California borrowers history form they use!

Whatever the #@%&**#$ it's called. Ten years of work history, 10 years of residency history, prior marriages, when did you get married, where, why, how often do you have marital relations, prior pets, do you love your mother, blah, blah, blah. That damn form takes longer to fill out than the rest of the package. If that garbage really mattered, shouldn't that have been asked BEFORE the signing?

Al, please don't mess up perfectly good protocol by logical thought. It doesn't fit well in this Industry. Logical thought must be avoided at all cost.

However, "There Is A Reason". (FYI, that is the intro to every Statement of Information or the proverbial..."SI"..the very form you're complaining about).

I know it all. Just email me if you're still confused.

Now, who do I email with the same confusion about the same form???

If I can do one thing here

I do need to write a post about the Statement of Information.... or the heinous "Ten Year History". It is perhaps the one thing I see consistently about title companies and the dilemmna's of the notaries here.

Maybe it will earn me a spot in Thread 332325. I'm still not a part of that legendary thread. So, go figure - don't take anything I post to heart. If it's not a part of Thread 33325, it doesn't matter, and that is the Truth!

Re: If I can do one thing here - Susan.

We need to have your heinous post in by 5 PM. First, fax it repeatedly until you have created 63 faxed pages. We pay $ 0.50 (that's fiddy sense) for this won.

Noterised statemeants must include a lose acknowledgemeant.

Statement of information, Ditto Michigan Al

I ask them ahead of time to have that info written down so it can just be transferred to the form. On a good day they will be filling it while I am jotting down the ID info in my journal.

On regular days it takes a long time, worse when someone has trouble writing.

**10 years of residency history, prior marriages, when did you get married, **

That marriage thing always yields more info that I want to know.
