Are satisfactions notarized in Florida?
I'm editing an article, ran across the statement that satisfactions are being eRecorded in Orange County, Florida. Does that mean they are also eNotarized, or that they are manually notarized then scanned, or not notarized at all?
Or something else. . .

As far as I know, none of the counties in FL are currently accepting eRecordings directly. All counties are supposed to be scanning documents for electronic storage and display. Given that, it would be my guess that the satisfaction was probably signed and sealed in ink, then scanned and published. (Of course, I may be wrong. )

The article doesn't say what level of eRecording they're doing, so dollars to donuts you're right. I didn't think eNotarization had sneaked in by everyone.

Re: Are satisfactions notarized in Florida? YES
I forgot to answer the question the first time around. Every SAT MTG that I've seen, has been notarized. This is a state law, just as mortgages must be notarized, or otherwise "proved".
