Attn: Lawrence....
I'm sorry. I completely ignored a question you asked me in an earlier thread from a couple of days ago.
My monitor's resoultion is set to the same 1024 by 768.
*You should look into getting a free account from where I have my new site. Go to http://www.cjb.cc and sign up for the free account. My FREE site has no ads and/or pop-ups. Thus far, I've only had a few minor problems. Brian Darby, the owner/creator, is quick in responding to my emails and always resolves any problem I have within an hour.
Sorry for the delay in my reponse. I've been very busy lately working on a few big cases that deal with my hometown (David Coutu ring a bell to anyone???)
*this ain't advertising

Thanks for the tip, but I like tripod/Lycos, they have been around since dirt. I just need to get off my butt and send them the money to remove the adds. I started to edit my site, but then realized that most people still use 800 x 600 resolution and thats what my site looks best in.

I think most individuals use the 800 x 600 reolution also. However I think that most business's stay up to date on technology and may be using the max.

Good to know Paw. Now does your business recieve more calls from business's or private people?
You're a wealth of knowledge.... I swear that everytime I have a question, whether it be technical or notary related, you're the first person that pops in my mind.

>>> Now does your business recieve more calls from business's or private people? <<<
Well, honestly, I can't tell. But, from the tracking I see, I would guess its more from individuals than businesses. A SWAG would put it at about 60/40 I'd guess.

Re: System stats - from today, it's different
## %%% Resolution -- ----------- ---------- 46 46.94% 1024x768 27 27.55% 800x600 23 23.47% 1280x1024 1 1.02% 1152x864 1 1.02% 640x480
1024x768 is almost double the 800x600 crowd.

Off shore webhosting may cause problems ...
From a business environment perspective, that is, those with IT departments, intranets, etc., a lot of companies (especially financial institutions, security dealers, etc.) limit employee internet access to US based companies or a limited number of foreign addresses. That means that the seven gTLDs or general Top Level Domains (.com, .edu, .gov, .int, .mil, .net, and .org) are generally accepted. As are the new TLDs (.biz, .info, .name, and .pro) which are unsponsored and the other three new TLDs (.aero, .coop, and .museum) which are completely sponsored. As for ccTLDs (country coded), it really depends on the company and often include the European and Japanese TLDs. So, if you are using an offshore TLD, you may be restricting corporate visitors to you site. Just a thought.
