Becoming a multi-state notary?
Wondering if anyone has experience in becoming a notary in more than one state...
Should I consider getting my commissions through a notary clearinghouse site like http://www.NotaryofAmerica.com or NationalNotary? Do these sites let you handle everything through one interface?
Any bright ideas?
Thanks,
Raymond

I'm a notary in three states. I only practice in 2 because I'm still trying to get my Title Producers lic. in MD. But I'm in VA, WV and MD. I haven't seen this site, I'll check it out and let you know what I think.

Competition for Notary Rotary
Raymond, good luck. Just be aware that NotaryofAmerica is a site that links you to an American Safety Council site for Noataries (I too am an affiliate). It is competition for Notary Rotary. If you want to become a Notary in more then one site: Click on the link above that says Notary Public 101.

Re: Competition for Notary Rotary
Thanks, Jax.
I don't mean to upset the good folks here at NotaryRotary... I had been doing some research on the various ways to get commissioned in multiple states and was simply wondering if it made more sense to use individual state sign-ups or to use a comprehensive site handling multiple states.
Are there advantages to using a multi-state site over individual states? Disadvantages?
How do the affiliate issues work? Does an "affiliate" have something to do with multi-state laws? Or do you mean reseller?
Thanks!

Re: Competition for Notary Rotary
Certain states/commonwealths do not allow you to have multiple Notary commissions.
Massachusetts is one of them. I pretty sure there are others that restrict one's ability to have multiple commissions.
