Re: Business Cards
You can put whatever you want on your cards, but you should start with your Notary Rotary profile, which doesn't even have your phone number on it, or any other information about your business or notary experience. How do you expect to be contacted?

Roger's right on the money. You need to seriously beef up your profile. The amount of business gotten from Notary Rotary is uncomparable.

Re: being certified without experience isn't that impressive
Heidi,
What they are referring to is for you to also put some verbiage in your profile. Click on any posters with there name in blue and you can check out some others profiles. This might help you if someone pulls up your name. They get some information about you and what you can provide. If you don't have experience as a SA then what have you done? List some of the qualities that would make someone want to hire you. Good luck Beverly

Re: being certified without experience isn't that impressive
You are right Beverly. The profile is important. As a signing service I read the profiles of signing agent's I am interested in using. And being certified by the NNA doesn't mean diddly squat, if that is all they have to recommend them I steer clear. I have used too many "certified" signing agents in the past that had no real idea of what they were doing.

Correction: Being certified means NOTHING....
SS's, Title companies for the most part don't care, nor do they know what you are certified as.

You should unstop a few drains
before claiming to be a plummer. Remember we are Notaries first. You might try to get a few real Notarizations under your belt before you start marketing yourself as a certified signing agent.

Re: Certified
I personally know of a few companies that will immediately "pass" on someone who is certified in a search. NNA certified are a dime a dozen. Now, that doesn't mean that you shouldn't state that you're certified (I am & I do), but you should have more than that to back yourself up as a signing agent. Experience, especially industry-related, should be emphasized.
