Bwrs printing eDocs...

Just talked to a bwr I will see tomorrow. The docs will be printed by the borrower.

Hope that works out for them. For all I know it may be another NSA.

I love not having to print them. I would not have gotten the job if I would have quoted for that.

I would definitley call them before heading out to the signing. The few times I've had borrowers print edocs it's been done on an inkjet printer on letter sized paper. Not much you can do if they do it that way, but at least make sure that they got them to print.

Re: Bwrs printing eDocs...Point well taken.

I got them to confirm while they were on some cross-country trip with bad reception. I'll call them this evening. We are signing at her classroom (she's a teacher).

Re: Bwrs printing eDocs...Point well taken.

I have to say that if I were the borrowers, there is no way in hell I would help defray the lender's cost by printing out my own loan documents.

I had one borrower a couple years back that agreed to print his own loan docs. After he saw how many pages there were, and all the attachments, he called me and said that I'd better be coming to his house with docs or we'd end up doodling on his napkins.

I thought it was funny when I called the lender and told them what the borrower told me. They were all put out, and acted as though they couldn't understand why the borrower decided not to print his own docs.

I thought they were arrogant to make the borrower assume the cost and responsibility of printing their own docs. Personally, I believe that it's double dipping, by the lender/TC, to have the borrower print out their own docs.

Re: Bwrs printing eDocs...TINA - Another point well taken.

Hey Girlfriend - I can just imagine that great laugh of yours! **After he saw how many pages there were, and all the attachments, he called me and said that I'd better be coming to his house with docs or we'd end up doodling on his napkins.**

This is so typical Mass from what little I have been around those great people.

Anyhow...My spin was that they were very anal ret. bwrs and wanted to make sure it was all done properly...or that they were not going to pay the full amount for the closing and made the lender/tc shave off every cost. Sellers usually do wind up with the burden of the CCs. Your spin is interesting on this.

Re: Bwrs printing eDocs... Years ago, I

I had one years ago before I had a HP laser jet and only a Samsung laser printer. I called the agency and said I couldn't print them out, I called the borrower to tell him what was going on, and he said that's okay. He would print them out as he had a HP laser printer. I informed the agency what was going on and they said ok. He did a perfect job, we signed the dox, and I got paid my asked-for fee. Sometimes, a good samaritan does come along and the world is spinning on its axis in just the right manner.

Maybe I'm not service orientated enough but if a lender wants to email documents to the borrower then the lender can check before the closing to be sure the documents printed correctly. If the lender does not check with the borrower and the documents are cut off then the lender can pay me to make a second trip when the documents are printed correctly. In these days of lower and lower fees to NSAs the only thing extra service gets you is more low pay work becuase you have shown you'll do more work for less pay.

I printed my own docs on a refi I did on my home. SS couldn't find a NSA to do on such short notice...of course, I had received teh call to conduct my own closing from this same SS...actually I got called to do 2 of my own -- had to decline, since I can't notarize my own sig. It was actually pretty good, because I got to see the docs before the NSA showed up & only had to print 1 set -- kept the electronic package on a cd. I made sure the SS/TC didn't charge me for printing, though...

It was a bad deal.

It took 30 minutes for the printing. She did not have them ready. She's a teacher - she was at work with a bunch of little munchkins. Not her fault.

Now, I will send her a copy because she did not keep one. No copier. Bad bad bad. 29 pages I will scan for free. MY choice though...it was not required. I am doing it for the bwr...and I do not mind faxing 29 pages if the job is over $145.00. Never under $145 however. No sirree.

I will probably add "if this is to be done in a classroom, it must be rescheduled." to my list of questions when the call comes. Tiresome.

Teachers have a very small window of time...NSAs can run late IF the earlier appointments ran late.
