Correct me if I'm wrong
Rcvd a call from TC for signing/closing this evening at 7:30 was told docs will not be ready til 6:30. Hello 6:30!!!! mind you the signing is 45 miles away. I told them that per my rules and policy I must have the docs at least 3 hrs before the signing takes place. Thank God I'm familiar with the area. TC was upset that I couldn't accomadate (sp) their timeframe. Well do they not think that WE have a timeframe either.
Sorry just had to vent :-)

I don't know your area but I would say that it is not unreasonable for them to understand that the appointment will have to be later because of the time it takes to print and travel. When their timetable doesn't allow you to get to the appointment they are the unreasonable ones. Now this isn't saying that if your not booked and this is a last minute job don't take it. If your not booked take it and tell them you would be happy to accomodate their request but the appointment will have to be later as they didn't contact you until it was already too late to make a 7:30.

I do extra mile for title company. I would have waited and just let the borrower know about posibility of being late because of the document issue. Besides, it's the title company not signing services. They would have probably pay you faster than signing services too.

Here in So Cal, if you get docs at 6.30 pm
driving 45 miles, most likely you won't get there before 8.00 or so..
I guess the TC are expecting us to fly huh...? Are they providing you with the jet for that...?
