Getting Paid

As the old saying goes "Buyer Beware": Now it seems to be........
"Notary Beware" when it comes to signing companies, in particlular Acme Notary of CA; as we're still waiting for payment for a 10/20/05 signing, and were told on 3/9/06 that they had just been paid by the lender and a check would be issued that day. No payment yet !!

I filed a small claim against Documents On The Run, Inc for nonpayment and they did not show up, which is not surprising. I also receive a fax from this company (shortly after I served them the court paper, on March, 2006) stating that they are closing their door after 10 years of business. The letter indicated they will pay the notaries for unpaid fees, but I still have not seen a penny. I urged everyone that still waiting for payment should file a small claim against this company.
