HELP!!!!!

I am a notary in California. I have misplaced my file that contained my E&O policy and my bond, I have not looked at them since I received them three years ago, and I am now trying to become a loan signing agent, and every agency requests the policy numbers and coverage amount. I do not know how to go about replacing these items. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Contact your county clerk's office for copy of your bond. If you know the company you purchased E&O with then contact them and ask for a copy of the E&O. If you don't know the company, it might be the same as the bonding company.

This is not meant to unsettle you or upset you, but a bit of something to think about.

Digging deeply into research and study of our trade is one of the hallmarks of a signing agent.

I understand your frustration, but my first call would have been to call the place which I got my commission from. If you cannot figure out where to start to learn that much, will you want to put forth the effort to learn the signing agent how-to's?

Of course, it was Sunday, I know, but as a newbie, I would have had my "handle" on if I posted and I would have not wanted my i-wannabe-them-peers to know that I did not know where to look.

Everyone is different...you certainly have a right to be who you are....the other view is just me.

Your rude! Try to be nice to the new notaries. Its rough if you cant recall to start out not knowing much. Everyone has to start some where!!
