Had to laugh

I had a low ball signing company call me. They sent me a 10 page questionaire and information package that I have to complete in order to sign up with them and get tons of business in my neighborhood. Then they want references from several "local title companies" I close for including names and contact information.

Great, then they can book the business at $200 and pay me $50.00.

I have not returned the form and they have followed up with me twice.

You were wise not to give up your TC. When asked for references, my rule of thumb is to give SS to SS, and TC to TC.

I always say to them, now why would I give my client list to you for references? I only ever give out ss for references.....

I don't give out my client list either. Matter of fact I can only think of 2 companies that asked for references. I gave them my two aunt's names. They're in the business.
