I'm having problems with my HP 3015....

It's not picking the paper up the right way and the top rollers are making a terrible cracking noise - I can't print anything. This printer is only 9 mos old and I hate to have to bring it back to Best Buy for service. Does anyone ever had the same issue with this printer?

HELP!!!!

TIA

I think I had a similar problem. Mine was at 13 mos. Sam's took it back for me. No problem 15 mos. later. HP should have it under warranty. I have had good luck with HP / warranty / replacements.

This Is a problem ALL printers experience with time. You can minimize the paper misses and jamming by cleaning the rubber pick up rolers of with rubbing alcohol and a lint free cloth and/or rub rollers gently with a green scratch pad to scuff the surface a little. Otherwise you will need a preventative maintenance kit which consists of new rollers and gears

It depends on how hard you've worked this machine. Theoretically according to the spec, this printer has a 7000 pages monthly duty cycle which translate to roughly 235 (7000/30) pages that can be printed in one setting per day (not a whole lot for edocs). If the printer has worked more than what is suggested above, then you'd be looking bad rollers, gear shaft/motor, etc.

I also have an HP 3015......love it. It has been a great work horse. My machine had a small piece of lint/dirt .....it didn't cause problems with printing but when it came to making a photocopy......it caused a fine line to appear on all copies. I called them....and they told me exactly what to do to fix the problem. Before you call.........write down the serial number for your machine....it is located on the back. They will ask for this serial number and model number. I found them very helpful. There is one problem.....when I called at night seemed like there wasn't anyone very knowledgeable about laser printers.......so I called again the next morning. During the day more help is available........there was an individual who walked me thru the procedure ..............problem solved and it didn't cost me a penny.
