So are non-biased or are you part of the sales team?
How can you as a closer who supposedly is a non-biased participant sell the borrower anything? It seems to me if you want to help the borrower cut his/her over all loan costs, why not tell him/her that their interest rate is too high and to look for another rate. You may want to move over to the LO business and feather your nest that way.

Believe it or not, I believe that's legit in CA. I feel the same as you.

my understanding is that we are never to try to sell anything to these borrowers, they have invited us to their home to assist with loan doc signing, nothing else.

Sorry, too fast on the keyboard
This post indicates, quite clearly, a biased closer/notary. This is okay with all of you???
Where's the direction? This is just like the attorney leeches that want to use notaries to sell their products for a fee. Wow. Can't believe no one's said this before.

isn't this advertising???
Besides if you're hired as a signing agent, you shouldn't be talking to borrowers about that topic!
