Mobile Office
Does anyone have a mobile office in their vehicle? I was at a closing Friday for a Doctor, and she stated when she lived in Mass., there was a guy that had a computer and printer mounted in the trunk of his car and he never had to return home for docs. I wouldn't begin to know how to do something like this. Any suggestions??? TIA

Yeah, do a search. We have posted many times on the subject. I, personally have posted at least three times and at this point, don't wish to re-type what I have to tell about the subject.
The orange search button is a jewel!

look at messages 43990 and 67875. Basically, you need a good power inverter and then your normal equipment. And wireless if you want to connect while remote.
I am wanting to also do this, but I want to get a printer that also has the high speed scan (with ADF) and FAX. Just need to get recommendations

Mine cost less b/c I installed everything myself, I figured it would cost around $1500 for the equippments and installation.

I am considering this, but the equipment would be worth more than the car I'm using for closings (1988 camry, my truck uses way too much gas). Also, how does the equipment hold up in the trunk in the hot summer heat?
There aren't alot of wifi places here in NC, so I'd need to look at Cingulars data option, don't know if I want to take on that much more a month.

I have a laptop that I take EVERYWHERE with me and I have found a piece of software that works with my Sprint Pocket PC and turns it into a Wireless Modem. The site is called junefabrics.com and the software is CHEAP. All i do is plug my USB cable into the laptop with my PPC and Voila! i am connected at 2.5mbps.
It has honestly been the best investment for me because I am mobile for my regular 9-5 job and my Notary business.
If you need more info just let me know!

Is your ppc also your cell phone? If so, does that use off your phone minutes or is that using off a wireless data subscription?
