New info on SOX
i havent seen the most recent message on SOX...but saw this at another Notary site and thought you all may be interested in this and help those who have not been paid by sox...
"I just got off the phone with Shelly Irvine the finance manager at SOX. Needless to say, I had to contact Ms. Deangelis yesterday at the Lending Tree to even get a response. Ms. Irvine was not too happy. They do not like the fact that I went directly to Lending Tree. And that I informed Ms. DeAngelis concerning the rumor about SOX closing their doors.Ms. Irvine states that that isn't true."
"I asked her how can she explain the bad reputation that SOX has for non-payment and she stated that "we" (the NSAs) just need somewhere to vent and place blame for our unprofessionalism. She also stated, that they never employ tactics that would purposely prohibit you from being paid."
"Ms. Irvine is under the perception that all notaries that do business with SOX are always paid on time and without problem. She challenged me to refer those of you who have yet to receive payment from SOX to contact her, so that she can look into your disputes."
" I know there was someone who recently filed a claim for payment. Here is your opportunity to see if they will pay now. Maybe if enough people flood their email they will know for certain that there is a problem."
"Her email address is [e-mail address]. or [e-mail address]. if you have no luck with Ms. Irvine try her manager, Nicole Smith at [e-mail address]. . Good luck"

Re: [e-mail address]?
How strange to post a message regarding how to contact someone without the link to make the connection??? Only an observation that the linking information was xxx'd out. Was that intentional? or a mistake?

If it's google or yahoo.com where this was, it's likely after the @ was removed.

Once again a notary giving bad advice. Nicole Smith has nothing to do with Sox's accounting. If you have a payment question please contact Shelly Irivne at 888-744-6481 as to she is the only person that can assit you with your payment questions. Notaries please know what you are talking about if you are going to offer advise to others.

Ok I know what I am talking about. Our company did multiple signings for you, through last year and again this year after changing names from Sign on the X to SOX. Last years signings were written off to bad debt, but after assuring that your campany had turned over a new leaf we gave you one more chance. Actually 2 more chances. Again NO PAYMENT............. We were not about to write this off to bad debt AGAIN WITH YOUR NEW LEAF TURNED OVER. It is your company asking signing agents to turn over and bend over. We finally contacted the lenders and informed them of your business ETHICS, and low and behold 3 days later a check arived in the mail. For last year and this yers signings.
By the way Your IP address reflects it belongs to Sign on the X.
Hide if you will BUT you always get caught. For any body that wants to get paid, contact by sign on the X contact the lender or title company. Then if enough people call in they may be out of business whether they planed it or not

This is from Sox we have no reason to hide from anyone and if you read the posting it says " Nicole Smith has nothing to do with accourning for us.." Before you call our lenders I would suggest that you review the contract that you signed. Again , if any notary has payment issues please contact Shelly Irvine at 888-744-6481

Re: Anon
If you have no reason to hide, then why do you? Your company ranks # 1 on the list of the worst signing services, and your payment issues speak volumes of what contacting Shelly Irvine will accomplish. I suggest you read your own contract, and advise us on where it states payment will be made when we feel like making it 60-days, 90-days, 6-months, 1-year, never. . Your opening statement says "This is from SOX we have no reason to hide from anyone". You are hiding with the "Anonymous" posting.

So you are from SOX? So I do not have to stress about getting payment on time? I will see. I hope all that is happening with your company is not true. I really do enjoy your signings and you AE's are sweet. Marvin Morales in particular. A good AE can tempt an MN to do his work. I hope and pray this is not a bad company. I will judge for myself and see if I get paid. Then I will post good things about you. Proof is in the payment I guess. Thanks, Leslie S. Przybyla (not afraid to put my name. Why don't you tell me who you are!) I will directly let you know if I do not receive my checks.

Anonymous,
You are the one giving bad advice, I suspect you are a SOX employee. I had the misfortune of working with SOX last year. I had to chase payment for 60+ days. Shelly Irvine (Finance Manager of SOX) was absolutely useless in the collection process. I got better results from Robyn Rogellio (Signing Coordinator/SOX) [e-mail address] (and this was ony after I called the TC involved). So once again an "Anon" giving bad advice.

Breach of contract
My understanding is that most of the notaries who sign contracts with ss do not have a copy with the ss signiture. Also the contracts state that the notary will get paid for their services. If the notary has performed they should be paid.
So if you are dependent on your contract for your argument, I suggest 1. that all parties have signed it and received copies. 2. that you perform according to the terms of your contract.
I am no lawyer but I understand that the confirmation order is a contract in itself.

Re: New info on SOX - Drakester - these people are not
worth your time...however, you've never seen me give up on an argument so just consider the source of that advice.
That they would argue the other side of an argument supported by every notary board I have read indicates the group is completely out of touch with reality.
Methinks they believe their own lies.

I for one will NOT give bad advise. sorry to disappoint you Annon...but your own reputation alone speaks for itself. I know I know...you are going to try to give me a bad grade here saying that I don't know what I'm doing, etc...however, you don't know me and how well I do my work. You don't know about my knowledge and experience either, so you can't judge me.
But I do know about your reputation and how your company works...it speaks for itself. The info I shared earlier came from another notary at another site who too has been going through hell with your company. plus the few other "hundreds" still waiting to get paid by your company. The experience I've had with companies like SOX is that they are very selfish and greedy and think of their pockets before their employees or contractors who do most of the work for them. I had one company who was a SS and the whole time she was more less embezzling money from her own notaries and then tried to hide it by changing the name of her company and change bank accounts and gave a "false physical address". well guess what? you know the saying "so your sins will find you out???" well guess where she is now?? IN JAIL!!! that is right. cuz she screwed up along the line and was caught. She was nothing but a big fraud!
I did a lot of research on her and even had my resources working right next to her after she moved and tried to work for a TC...she screwed up by keeping all her fraudulant stuff at the office and on her computer, and using them for more fraud work as well.... So I'm nevertheless at least good to look into companies who have a bad habit of screwing with other lives. I learned this by investigating into my own mother's death and found the truth of what really happend.
So...before you say I'm giving "bad advise" .... be careful who you are accusing. I'm proud of the work I do. I'm proud of the knowledge and experience I've gained...and what I learn from my fellow notaries...We all learn from each other and we do support each other. But one thing we do not tolerate is bad SS's that lie to cover up their mistakes and keep on lying to cover up the last lie. That is what they call a compulsive liar. My ex is like that and I always catch him in his lies and he thinks he has to lie to cover that up and i always catch him in it. I have a sister like that too.
And as far as the contracts...if most here are smart, they didn't sign a contract with you. Contracts are the biggest jokes. Its only to protect YOU and not the notary. Its the notary that needs to be protected from companies who steals money from their "workers".
ok...I'm not saying anymore! I'm sorry if I offend anyone in anyway.

One more thing...if SOX really feel their company is such a great reputable company, then maybe they need to look at their staff, especially those in bookkeeping/payroll and find out why so many Notaries have not been paid. Someone is screwing them over there. Maybe they need a change of staff?
Whatever they do..don't close down and then open under a new name and make the same errors...they will still be put on the NOTARIES BEWARE.
just a thought...& a suggestion!
