OT and Political read at your own risk.....
WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT TO TURN ON THE TV AND HEAR ANY U.S. PRESIDENT, DEMOCRAT OR REPUBLICAN GIVE THE FOLLOWING SPEECH?
My Fellow Americans: As you all know, the defeat of Iraq regime has been completed.
Since congress does not want to spend any more money on this war, our mission in Iraq is complete.
This morning I gave the order for a complete removal of all American forces from Iraq. This action will be complete within 30 days. It is now to begin the reckoning.
Be fo re me, I have two lists. One list contains the names of countries which have stood by our side during the Iraq conflict. This list is short. The United Ki ngdom, Spain , Bulgaria, Australia , and Poland are some of the countries listed there.
The other list contains everyone not on the first list. Most of the world's nations are on that list. My press secretary will be distributing copies of both lists later this evening.
Let me start by saying that effective immediately, foreign aid to those nations on List 2 ceases immediately and indefinite ly. The money saved during th e first year alone will pretty much pay for the costs of the Iraqi war.
The American people are no longer going to pour money into third world Hell-holes and watch those government leaders grow fat on corruption.
Need help with a famine? Wrestling with an epidemic? Call France.
In the future, together with Congress, I will work to redirect this money toward solving the vexing social problems we still have at home. On that note, a word to terrorist organizations. Screw with us and we will hunt you down and eliminate you and all your friends from the face of the earth.
Thirsting for a gutsy country to terrorize? Try France, or maybe China.
I am ordering the immediate severing of diplomatic relations with France, Germany, and Russia. Thanks for all your help, comrades. We are retiring from NATO as well. Bon chance, mes amis.
I have instructed the Mayor of New York City to begin towing the many UN diplomatic vehicles located in Manhattan with more than two unpaid parking tickets to sites where those vehicles will be stripped, shredded and crushed. I don't care about whatever treaty pertains to this. You creeps have tens of thousands of unpaid tickets. Pay those tickets tomorrow or watch your precious Benzes, Beamers and limos be turned over to some of the finest chop shops in the world. I love New York
A special not e to our neighbors. Canada is on List 2 Sin c e we are likely to be seeing a lot more of each other, you folks might want to try not pissing us off for a change.
Mexico is also on List 2. President Fox and his entire corrupt government really need an attitude adjustment. I will have a couple extra tank and infantry divisions sitting around. Guess where I am going to put em? Yep, border security. So start doing something with your oil.
Oh, by the way, the United States is abrogating the NAFTA treaty - starting now.
We are tired of the one-way highway. Immediately, we'll be drilling for oil in Alaska - which will take care of this country's oil needs for decades to come. If you're an environmentalist who opposes this decision, I refer you to List 2 above: pick a country and move there. They care.
It is time for America to focus on its own welfare and its own citizens. Some will accuse us of isolationism. I answer them by saying, "darn tootin." Nearly a century of trying to help folks live a decent life around the world has only earned us the undying enmity of just about everyone on the planet. It is time to eliminate hunger in America. It is time to eliminate homelessness in America. It is time to eliminate World Cup Soccer from America. To the nations on List 1, a final thought. Thanks guys. We owe you and we won't forget. To the nations on List 2, a final thought: You might want to learn to speak Arabic. God bless America. Thank you and good night. If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you are reading it in English, thank a soldier.
(Please forward this to at least ten friends and see what happens! Let's get this to every USA computer!)

I see you didn't get many responses to this post. I would have to say this is one that should have been left unsaid, on this board anyway. So how many people on this board do you suppose you have offended? Unjustly, I might add.
I had a very long reply to post but decided, no. I won't fall into the trap of giving rise to a political debate here.
I would simply like to ask this of anyone that reads this post. Please post anon stating your nationality and/or if you think this message should have been left off this board.

It was posted as
(1) OT (2) Political - read at your own risk
People who do not like politics had a chance to stop right there.
I am not sharp enough to digest or parse political posts and only skimmed it.
If I were a better political analyst, I would have commented on it...Lord knows I comment on everything else.
LkA has smacked me around a time or two for being insensitive. Maybe she was right...maybe she wasn't. My beef has always been people getting their feelings hurt by a bunch of strangers on a forum. Because I get really sick of people being too sensitive and being too unwilling to do their own research, I will probably move my "cause" for self-education forward again and make her unhappy with me, but she gets over it and she does not try to take a vote on how rotten my posts are.
This lady is not an insensitive person. It was off-topic. I feel to take a vote on her post is a little over the top. Lulu, I really do want to get on well with you, but sometimes I feel you really do want to censor this board and tailor it to be what you want it to be. I hope that my opinion on this does not offend you.
Asking for people who were upset by this is like trying to be everyone's mother and take care of them. People are adults here. This is such a minute part of life as how it reflects on the reality of who the readers are.
I refuse to condescend to people different from me by trying to be their protector on this board. Condescend? How? It infers I think they are weaker. I figure they can protect themselves and can defend themselves...just like I can. To me, that's giving them a heck of a lot more credit right now than your response to this post which is literally you trying to encourage people to stand together behind your skirt.
Again, she posted with plenty of warning that it was political. Again, people were warned they could have ignored it.

May West would say, "Yes honey, I have been well-bred once or twice in my life...right after I asked 'why don't you come up and see me sometime, big boy?' "
However, I could never say that!
Thanks, Beverly...that's really nice to hear. You are also quite a southern lady yourself.

I am not the least bit offended, Brenda. I respect your words, thoughts and opinions.
I felt that if this were offensive to many, it would be the best way to show numbers of such. Just to further say this is not the place. IMO, Politics and religion remarks should be left out of a notary forum. (Professionalism, remember?) Believe me my original post would have boiled many as the original boiled me, but I won't stoop to debate since I disapprove of it being posted here.
To each his own.

Exactly, to each his own. If you are seeking to create a professional forum wherein people can discuss topics you are comfortable with, here's a tip for getting that started: In the past, Victoria Ring has been extremely gracious in publishing a news release in her newsletter for me. Just put it into news release form and email it to her address at 50statenotary.com stating that's what you want.
It will reach thousands of newbies and others who are not reading this forum.
She's got the largest mailing list of notaries of anyone I know of.

Re: Missy Lulu or Linda whichever you prefer
I read your post and decided to reread my post to see what exactly offended you. Must be the mention of list 2 since you were also requesting folks to post anon as well as asking one's nationality?? Let me first say I don't post to count the number of responses I get, this is not material to me. I'm not here to gain popularity, I post for enjoyment and relaxation. I have learned in my many years of life I cannot please everyone nor can everyone please me. I have also learned through life, we each see life through different colored eyes. This is good, this is healthy and this is how we learn. With that said, and by the way "Thank you Brenda" for your kind words of support for me and placing some reality where it belongs. The post was crystal clear that is was political and reader beware. I find it very curious that you did chose to ignore the warning and read and then post a comment clearly to fuel a fire that simply didn't exist. So if the post so clearly offended you what was your intention of igniting the fire? Hummmmm the word hypocrite crosses my mind for just an instance. I will however make an apology if the words in the post offended anyone, it is never my intention to offend. Let me also sum it up with, most of us are Heinz 57's. My father served in World War II, my brother served our country and my son currently serves our country in the US Navy. My grandparents were French Canadians, spoke little to no English, my husband is Jewish, my son is marrying into a German family, and my daughter just married (name change from Axelrod to Gonzalez). I'm assuming you can read between the lines here.......So I say DON'T PLACE YOUR LABELS ON ME.....

Why are you encouraging people to post "anon"? And, what does their nationality have to do with this post?
