OT for dog lovers
That is dog lovers that still love their dogs when they eat an $80 pair of shoes...that you have worn once. ONCE. One shoe is fine ($40 savings). The other one is gone, completely. I even got compliments on them today (first wearing). "Them" is past tense now, as there is only one left of them.
Someone help me from wrapping my hands around a warm little furry throat....grrrrrrrrrr.
He keeps looking at me and has no idea how close he's come to extinction.

Then there are those "killer cats"
Running late tonight, printing a piggyback that was 2 hours late getting to me. Maude (the cat that lets me live here) decided to curl up on them, hot off the press and all. Me? Running around getting things together, tell her to get off, she looks at me like I've suddenly began speaking a foreign language and lolls around on her back. Ackkkkkkkk! I squirt her with the squirt gun, she jumps up and runs....makes a complete circle and lands back on the desk. I save the docs, squirt her again...she bows up and knocks the gun out of my hand, "growls", jumps on my leg like Garfield and hangs on for dear life! I actually was relieved to leave!!! Pets, ya gotta love em! She was waiting for me when I got home....~sighs~

I have to put shoes out of the reach of the Yorkie! She has ruined quite a few pairs of mine. She loves leather! I had a Lhasa a few years ago that also loved to "eat" my shoes!! But, they never bothered with cheap ones - only the expensive ones! I know exactly where you are coming from!

They seem to know the good stuff Sylvia!
I think my Chi has good taste.. which isn't all that comforting right now. I'm sure in a week I'll laugh (at least I hope so).
I'm so very happy and pleased your back. Welcome!! I have thought of you often.

Thankfully the first and only pair our dog got to was a cheap pair of flip flops. Our cat loves shoes. She loves to stuff her head in them and sniff, sniff, sniff.

Been there, done that...
thank goodness the fettish ended at about 18 months. My girl is now almost 9 years old and she loves to just lay with her head on my shoes. Sue, it's the scent you know. The babies just love to smell (and eat) anything that smells like Mom. It sounds as if you are in the terible twos. I can tell you, this too will pass. Hang in there girl and keep your closet doors shut.
Peace, Becca

Re: Been there, done that... Bless you Becca
I could not stay mad long. That look in the eyes and laid back ears killed me.
I'll trudge out to the outlet store this weekend hoping they can be replaced...Actually, we're at 3 pairs of shoes now, and my dog has good taste...or a taste for leather. Must take after his mommy.

TG...
Macy had very discerning taste and ate through a few of my best leather shoes when she was a pup. It's tough being a Mommy to a pup, but eight + years later you forget the shoes, carpet stains and just remember how much you love and cherish your baby.
Notary dogs are the best.
