Power of Attorney

I have been doing loan signing for at least 6 monthes so yes fairly new and still learning. I have a simple question. I know that when you using a power of attorney you sign Jane Doe by John Doe, as attorney in fact. The question I have is on the awknowldegment after it states Personally appeared before me do I just write in John Doe or do I have to write in Jane Doe by John Doe, as attorney in fact. This is for a signing early in the morning and just now received the docs. They wanted me to go tonight but there was not way I could have done it before midnight. Thanks

Before posting I did read my handbook and looked for various post but my question is still not ansered.

Thank You

You did not say what state you are in,
but the standard answer is that you notarize
the signatrues of those who appear before you.
Since John is the only one there, his name only sholud appear
in the ack section.
You notarize a persons signature as you have id'd them/
You do NOT notarize their capacity.
All you know for sure is that he is John, not what he is.
Good luck

Thank you, I though that was the answer but just wanted to make sure and I am in California.
Once again thank you
