Printing to Kinko's, etc.
Does anyone know a good place to print if you're not at home or short on time, either by emailing the docs or by physically going there? I tried to go to Kinko's once but they told me it would be 89 cents a page, so that was out since it would have cost me almost $100 to print ONE copy, let alone two.

It shouldn't have to cost that much, and they realize that. Speak to someone on the staff and tell them how many pages you have to print. Yes, it costs .89/page to use their laser printers. That's assuming you're renting their computers and have just a few pages to print. But they make exceptions for people who have many pages to print out (i.e. dissertation or some other type of manuscript or project). They might agree to do it on their copiers, and at the regular rate.
If the file you want to print out is in your email, rent their computer to access the internet. It should take just a few minutes to download the file from your email and save it on CD-ROM. Then take the disc to someone on the staff and ask them to print it out. Be prepared to have to wait a while if they have many jobs ahead of yours. Or tell them you're in a rush and ask them to do you a favor.
The attitudes of the employees can vary from one location to another. I'm speaking just from my own experience with them, which has been positive for the most part.
If you have any other questions regarding out-of-office printing, feel free to email me at [e-mail address].
Good luck.

Office Max is $24 for printing a package for me. I have only done it once when the lender put me in a crunch. I found their machines to be similar in whipping them out to what mine are. It was a purchase / sell...so, you are looking at 300 pages in this one.

I used them last week as a last resort. It was too far for me to run home and they were only .08 a copy.....but make sure they print it in the back and not you print it.

My printer stopped working and I had two sets of documents printed plus 1 set of another loan package, they got it done really quickly and the fee was $14.00 and a few cents, it seemed like a really good price to me.

there was a thread about this a few weeks ago
The unknowing Sa got charged .89 per page, but he had used the COLOR copier vs. the B/W copier, which was about .08 per page. It was an oops.

Re: Price of Kinko's
I did see the thread a few weeks ago about the color copier. In my case, I phoned ahead and asked if they printed documents from diskettes. They said 10 cents a page. I showed up with a diskette and they said 89 cents a page. When I asked about the rate I was quoted on the phone, they said that was for copies, not originals. So I guess they weren't feeling nice that day. Anyone ever try File, Print, FedEx Kinko's? I've seen it on their website but can't seem to get a ballpark quote without actually beginning an order - but it seems geared to high volume business users, so it can't be 89 cents a page - can it?

Re: Price of Kinko's
I use Kinkos to print a bunch of stuff by email(not necessarily notary files, but for another business). Email it to them. It is $.08 a page and often ready by the time I get there. Can't recommend it enough. I have always considered them my office back up in case I need it. So far never needed it, but it would work in a heart beat.
