Question for a signing tonight

The escrow officer emails me a note that one of the Uniforn Res. Loan Applications needs to be signed and dated April 4, 2006. I told her I cannot backdate and she said just give it to the borrowers. They filled it out wrong before. There is also a Good Faith Estimate and TIL that need that as well. Then in the next email it has the same docs with todays date and she said date it for today. My question is I am not notarizing any of the backdated docs but is it ok to let this happen. She just said to hand them to the borrower who happens to be a realtor.

This is OK. the borrowers can date any day the LO wants as long as its not to be notarized by you.

Actually, as a Notary, the signer can date any date

as directed by L/O or otherwise, even if you are notarizing, so long
as the date of your notariztion is as of the date
they they appear before you and either execute or
acknowledge that they have executed the doc.
Sometimes a grant deed may need to be dated earlier
than the date of signing so as to agree with the date of
the mortgage and note. Not a problem for you as the notary
so long as you are not backdating your notariztion.
