Thank you
I have been monitoring this board daily for several months and posted for the first time yesterday. I have recently moved back to Northern California and for the first time have signed up with signing agencies for additional income. I have learned a lot from all of your posts. I have been very surprised at what title companies, lenders and signing services ask of signing agents. Thank you Notary Rotary for having a place we can go to and Thank you to all that post here. You have opened my eyes to yet another part of this business. For the last 10 years I have handled only purchase transactions and have been a signing agent for only the transactions I have been involved in as the tansaction coordinator. Now being a signing agent for transactions that I am only involved in for only a couple of hours is completely different. We, as signing agents, are the only people that the borrower will meet in most transactions and I feel that we represent all parties involved. If for any reason the borrower is unhappy with his loan, I believe that they will most certainly remember me. I have only lived in this area since December 2005 and have only been doing signup's here since April. Living a rural area I do run into the borrowers I sign up quite frequently. If I am involved with something that should not have been done (i.e. backdating) every time I run into these people, it may be a negative experience. Thank you again and have a restful Memorial weekend.
