Whats your DSL speed ? (Survey)

I checked my speed with different sites and it came to this:

1.- Los Angeles CA 2495kbps
2.-Miami 755kbps
3.-Colorado 2345kbps

All these download speeds, upload were all at 745kbps -,+

I feel sorry for you all dial up, when title wants the signing in one hour, lol

Thank you.

I'm connected wirelessly to my parents who live on the 2nd

floor apartment (I'm the 3rd floor) and my speed reads 11.0 Mbps. I'm pretty sure the main computer is much faster. PAW could clarify for I do not know the proper computer jargon... the main computer in this case is the computer that has the main router connected to the modem. I simply have a wireless adapter that picks up the signals off the main computer below me.

Sadly, I still get stuck with the bill! My parents should be ashamed of themselves!! LOL just kidding.

Is kbps slower then a Mbps?

I think 11 megabytes its alot. I dont think you can have that much speed in a residential conection.

My wireless speed ranges from 11.0 to 54.0 mbs. My internet speed is around 6.0 kbs last time I checked.

eh-hmmmm.
Ok. First of all kbps=kilobites per second
mbps=megabytes per second

ok. megabytes is just one heck of a lot. But in all seriousness---
11 mbps would be the equivalent of 11,000 kbps.

1209kbps down and 307kbps up on my wireless laptop. I'm connected @ 54Mbps. When I've checked my desktop in the past, it was much faster, but it is wired.
