$100,000 Bond ???
I did a signing for Fidelity National Title and they said that in order to due future signings for them and their affiliates (Chicago & Ticor Title Companies) I would need a $100,000 Bond. Does that sound right to anyone? Where is the best place to purchase one ?

This is the first I've heard of this. Try Notary Rotary store. There is a 100K policy listed in supplies.

-OR-, wait until the majority of your clientele ask for an excessive bond such as this. Hopefully, you are still getting plenty of business with your existing bond/E&O insurance without coming out of pocket more. Good luck with that, and keep us informed...

I purchased my one year 100K bond through NNA for $104 (CA may have different price).

I had the same thing happen a few months ago with Fidelity and Ticor. I upgraded my bond thru Notary Rotary (I also priced it out at NNA).

Yes, Fidelity is requiring to sign with them $100K E&O's, 2 years , and references. I received there packet yesterday to be added to there preferred list. They will only select from there own list of people meeting this critria. I am still searching for the best price on this type of bond, so far a 4 year bond is $456.00 through Notary Rotary.

I didn't return their packet or increase my bond and they still use me at least twice a month. Each time they ask for it I tell them I'm not interested. Maybe we should set up contracts of our own for them to sign, see how far we get then.
