owners affidavit

on a owners affidavit that I recieved in a E Doc on a refi there is a spot for a witness to sign or a affiant, does the barrower sign here?If so where? Also on the settlement statement page 3 it has nothing filled in where it says taxe,hazard insurance,1st payment due ect...does this need to be filled in by the barrower?any help would be very helpful!

The a "affiant" is the individual(s) stating that the information in the affidavit is true and correct to the best of their knowledge. A witness may or maynot be required per state requirements. You only sign as the notary acknowledging their signature.

The settlement statement (HUD-1) should NOT be altered at all unless expressly given permission. It sounds however like you are describing the Truth In Lending form.

It sounds like this might be Jennifer's first signing. I would strongly suggest some training classes or at least a mentor & some reference books before accepting any more signings.
